Still (just) a journal
I’ve been doing almost-daily posts for a couple weeks now and I have to say, the temptation to make this more than a photo journal creeps back in so quickly. My mental path is something like this:
“Hey, this is fun!”
“Yesterday’s post had some nice shots.”
“It’d be a shame to post something today that’s worse than yesterday. I want to show PROGRESS.”
Then I get too picky with finding images. That process goes something like this:
“Maybe I shouldn’t post this because I’ll use it later for a series.”
“Maybe I shouldn’t post this because it’s too different from everything else.”
“Maybe I shouldn’t post this because it’s just not good enough.”
And so on. So, this is a recommitment to just posting the images I’ve made over the past few days regardless of whether they are amazing, worthy of a book deal from Magnum, or whatever else might prevent me from posting them. Happy 4th of July to everyone in America :)
